I am at the beginning of my journey working with Davines, a great Italian product and colour company that promotes sustainability in all they do. I had the pleasure of working with their colour line to create two of my own looks and present them at the ABA in Vancouver, BC. I used the Flamboyage technique on both Jeff and Krystin to create natural, gradual colour effects.
I went to New York City this week to take an advanced cutting course with Cristiano Cora. He is a world renowned stylist, and has trained under Vidal Sassoon. He now owns his own salon on 5th Ave and 13th in NYC, and it is gorgeous. I had the privilege of working one on one with him, learning new techniques and picking his brain about the industry. It was the most amazing class I have ever experienced.
F/W12 Photoshoot for Adhesif clothing, in Vancouver. I was part of an amazing team of lovely ladies! So much creativity and fun- looking forward to seeing the edited photos!
How to pack for a month long holiday:
My hubby and I trekked around Europe for a month and I was so concerned about wanting to look fashionable, packing light, and not looking too touristy! Here are my recommendations:
Choose colours that mix well with each other, and try to plan 2 weeks worth of outfits that you can make without having to wash. Packing a scarf or two to change up a look is helpful, and can be used as a blanket for a picnic as well. Light packing is key, and you don’t have to compromise fashion! I ended up with a bit more than I needed, and I thought I would be sick of these clothes by the end….but I wasn’t!
Hope this is helpful!
P.S. Shoes was the hardest part. I bought one pair of Birkenstocks (believe me, I didn’t want to) that was cute-ish but oh-so-comfy and matched everything. My second pair of shoes was gray TOMS…which ended up being not-so-comfy by the end. My husband ONLY brought TOMS and was seriously regretting it. Just and FYI.
My apprentice at Bangtown Hair Saloon, Lindsay, prepping for a photoshoot for her final project. All hair colour and cut, along with styling, was done by her.
London’s Field Day Festival in August, 2011. Great fashion and great music!
Dark gray to silver ombre hair colour. I helped Christopher Deagle at his first hair show for Davines at The Waldorf Hotel back in October. This is one of the looks I worked on!
